Venture capital funding in Indian startups plunged 66% year-on-year in October 2026 to $581 million, down from $1.6 billion in October 2025, according to YourStory Research. The monthly total also registered a 49% decline compared to September 2026, which saw $1.1 billion invested. Despite the macroeconomic slowdown, digital wealth management platform PowerUp Money secured $10 million in fresh capital led by Flourish Ventures, alongside participation from Peak XV Partners, Accel, and Blume Ventures. Concurrently, Apple reported record fourth-quarter revenue in India for fiscal 2026, propelled by high iPhone upgrade cycles nationwide.
