Indian startups raised $418 million across 22 deals in the first week of October, maintaining strong venture capital momentum following a robust September. The weekly inflow was significantly bolstered by two large transactions exceeding $100 million each. Electric vehicle manufacturer Simple Energy secured approximately $182 million (Rs 1,750 crore) from Arokiaswamy Velumani Family Office, company founders, Amit Mishra, and Haran Family Office. Meanwhile, physical AI chipmaker SiMa.ai raised $150 million from Fidelity Management & Research, Amplify, Dell Technologies Capital, Alter Venture Partners, and others. Home interiors startup Gravity also raised $15 million.
