Venture capital funding for Indian startups reached $196 million across 24 transactions during the first week of September, slipping from $245 million recorded the prior week. Early-stage deals drove overall activity, with pre-Series A rounds accounting for 12 transactions totaling $24 million. Growth-stage funding was anchored by smart ring maker Ultrahuman securing $70 million from Qualcomm Ventures, Labcorp, Blume Ventures, and Nexus Venture Partners. Meanwhile, battery-swapping firm Yuma Energy raised $35 million led by Magna International, and non-banking financial company Business Nextgen Finance bagged ₹215 crore ($23 million) from Beams Fintech Fund.
