Venture capital funding into Indian startups dropped sharply during the week of October 3-9, totaling $168 million across 28 deals compared to $418 million raised in the previous week. The downturn stemmed from an absence of large-scale deals above $100 million. Top funding transactions included automotive aftermarket platform myTVS raising Rs 425 crore ($44 million) led by CE-Invests, lifestyle accessories brand DailyObjects securing Rs 332 crore ($34.3 million), and Lumio raising $12 million. Additionally, kitchen brand Beyond Appliances raised Rs 110 crore, while deeptech startup Quanfluence secured $10 million from Chiratae, Pi Ventures, and Rainmatter.
