India’s startup funding momentum softened during the first week of September 2026, declining 16% week-on-week to $176.5 million raised across 22 deals. Healthtech and cleantech dominated the funding landscape, securing a combined $120.8 million to capture roughly 68% of total weekly capital. Fitness tech startup Ultrahuman led the charts with a $70 million round backed by Qualcomm Ventures and Alpha Wave. Electric vehicle infrastructure platform Yuma Energy raised $35 million in Series A funding from Magna International, while D2C brand SUGAR Cosmetics netted $15.3 million from A91 Partners.
