Hyderabad-based defence tech startup Indrajaal is aiming to scale its AI-powered counter-drone business to protect critical infrastructure and military installations across India. Founded in 2020 by Kiran Raju as a spinoff from Grene Robotics, the startup has raised approximately $5.5 million in external funding from investors including India Accelerator and Finvolve. Indrajaal develops autonomous systems combining proprietary hardware, computer vision, and machine learning to detect, track, and neutralize hostile drones. Raju, a Carnegie Mellon alumnus, established Grene Robotics in 2006 before creating Indrajaal to counter rising low-cost aerial drone threats near national borders.
