Thane-based spacetech startup InspeCity has secured ₹100 crore in a pre-Series A funding round co-led by deep-tech venture capital firm Speciale Invest and investor Ashish Kacholia. The round also saw participation from Antler Elevate, Antler India, Shastra VC, and Manish Gandhi. Founded in 2022 by IIT Bombay professor Arindrajit Chowdhury, InspeCity provides in-orbit satellite servicing, refuelling, and debris removal. The fresh capital will be used to match government grants under the Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) framework, develop its maiden in-orbit missions, and build a dedicated research-and-work facility to scale operations.
