Investors Offload $2.77 Bn In Indian Tech Secondaries Led By Lenskart

Indian new-age tech companies recorded 17 block and bulk deals worth Rs 26,337 crore ($2.77 billion) across 12 companies in August. The secondary transactions were primarily driven by early-stage venture investors and promoters offloading stakes to mutual funds, insurers, and global institutional investors like BlackRock and Goldman Sachs. Eyewear giant Lenskart accounted for the largest share at Rs 7,445 crore, with SoftBank and Alpha Wave selling shares. Paytm saw deals worth Rs 4,986 crore from Elevation Capital and SAIF Partners, while Groww recorded Rs 3,649 crore in exits by Y Combinator and Ribbit Capital.
