The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has rejected claims regarding its potential privatisation or a diminished role in India's space program. Clarifying after employee associations raised concerns over statements by IN-SPACe chairman Pawan Goenka regarding launch vehicle manufacturing, ISRO stated that deeper private sector participation will expand rather than replace the agency's capabilities. ISRO affirmed that it will remain the primary body for national strategic missions, deep space exploration, and advanced research. Mature technology transfers to private players and startups are intended to multiply operational capacity across India's growing space tech sector.
