Jio Financial Services and Germany’s Allianz have jointly infused ₹640.1 crore ($66.5 million) into their general insurance joint venture, Jio Allianz General Insurance. Both partners contributed ₹320.05 crore each via a rights issue, maintaining their equal 50:50 shareholding structure. The fresh capital will fund operational rollout across health and general insurance segments targeting retail and commercial clients. The move strengthens Jio Financial’s broader financial ecosystem, which includes Jio Insurance Broking and a reinsurance JV, Allianz Jio Reinsurance, which underwrote ₹266 crore in gross premiums during Q1 FY27.
