Jio Introduces New RCS Business Messaging Tariffs for iPhone Users

Reliance Jio has rolled out a revised pricing structure for Rich Communication Services business messaging directed at iPhone users in India, effective September 1. Replacing an earlier flat rate of ₹0.08 to ₹0.10, the telecom giant now charges businesses ₹0.27 to ₹0.30 for marketing messages, ₹0.25 for transactional alerts, and ₹0.11 to ₹0.16 for one-time passwords. The change follows Apple expanding business RCS support on iOS 18 in partnership with telcos. Jio enables brands to send interactive media, carousels, and action buttons to customer native inboxes via its enterprise messaging platform.
