Reliance Industries' digital unit, Jio Platforms Ltd, has received approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India to launch an initial public offering to raise approximately $3.8 billion (₹37,700 crore). The planned offering is set to become India’s largest IPO to date, overtaking Hyundai Motor India’s $3.3 billion listing in 2024 and outstripping the National Stock Exchange’s proposed ₹30,000 crore public issue. The milestone clearance paves the way for billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s telecom and digital services heavyweight to make its highly anticipated debut on domestic public stock exchanges.
