Jio Platforms will prioritize expanding digital services over raising mobile tariffs to increase revenue per customer ahead of its initial public offering, Managing Director Akash Ambani announced in Mumbai. While keeping price hike options open, Ambani noted that telecom spending per user has halved to 1% of Indian per-capita income since 2016. Jio charges Rs 4.9 per gigabyte against the industry average of Rs 7.5 and carries over 60% of national wireless data. New enterprise solutions, home broadband, voice-AI tools, and international managed network offerings are expected to boost EBITDA margins beyond 53.3%.
