The Karnataka government has approved the establishment of two Global Technology Centres in Belagavi and Hubballi under its Local Economy Accelerator Programme to decentralize technology growth beyond Bengaluru. The Belagavi facility will span 10,000 square feet at Visvesvaraya Technological University with an outlay of Rs 82.80 lakh over three years. The Hubballi centre will cover 10,000 square feet at the Hubballi IT Park with a budget of Rs 5.80 crore.
