Tech startups in Karnataka secured $4.6 billion in funding during the first nine months of the year, marking a 26% increase compared to the previous period, according to Tracxn’s Karnataka Tech report. However, deal volume experienced a sharp contraction, with total funding rounds declining 35% to 397 rounds. Early-stage momentum also slowed considerably, as seed funding dropped 32% year-on-year. The report highlights a growing concentration of capital in larger, late-stage rounds, reflecting investor caution towards early-stage bets even as Bengaluru continues to anchor India’s venture capital inflow across major tech verticals.
