Under its Beyond Bengaluru initiative, the Karnataka government is developing the Hubballi-Dharwad-Belagavi (HDB) corridor to diversify the state's technology ecosystem. Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge announced targets to attract 35 large corporations, 5 ESDM firms, 10 Global Capability Centres (GCCs), and 100 startups to HDB over three to five years. The strategy is backed by a ₹25 crore Cluster Seed Fund alongside dedicated manufacturing and infrastructure investments. The corridor aims to leverage Hubballi's entrepreneurial base, Dharwad's academic institutions, and Belagavi's aerospace manufacturing footprint to foster growth across AI, semiconductors, and deep tech.
