Kuku to Build 1,000-Member AI Team Ahead of Rs 3,500 Cr IPO

Kuku Technologies, the parent of Kuku FM and Kuku TV, is building a 1,000-member AI content production unit to scale its microdrama business globally. The Mumbai-based startup has already hired nearly 200 writers, filmmakers, and engineers, targeting a 1,000-person team by the end of the current financial year. The expansion follows Kuku's confidential filing of draft IPO papers with SEBI for a public issue of up to Rs 3,500 crore at a $1.8 billion valuation. Kuku expects AI production to cut microdrama costs to under $100 per minute, well below China’s average production benchmarks.
