L&T Arm Vyoma.AI Breaks Ground on 52 MW Data Centre in Chennai

Larsen & Toubro’s AI cloud and data centre unit, Vyoma.AI, has broken ground on a 52 MW AI-ready facility in Chennai to support intensive artificial intelligence and cloud computing workloads. The data centre will feature direct-to-chip liquid cooling and renewable energy integration as part of L&T’s planned gigawatt-scale AI Factory campus. Led by Managing Director Prashant Chiranjive Jain, the facility will serve hyperscalers, neocloud providers, and AI companies. The project is part of Vyoma.AI’s broader roadmap to build over 250 MW of data centre capacity across India offering sovereign cloud and GPU-as-a-service.
