Hyderabad-based cleantech startup Leanwatts has raised $2 million (around ₹18 crore) in a seed funding round led by Trivest Partners. Angel investors Abraham George and Alok Rungta also participated in the round. Founded in 2023 by Abhilash Reddy, Pradeep Chowdary, and Sujith Kumar, Leanwatts designs and manufactures portable and onboard EV chargers for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and electric tractors. The startup plans to use the fresh capital to accelerate research and development, strengthen its supply chain, and expand manufacturing capacity at its Hyderabad facility, targeting an annualised revenue run-rate of ₹60 crore by March 2027.
