Venture capital firm Lightspeed Venture Partners has completely exited edtech company PhysicsWallah after offloading its remaining 1.61% stake for ₹549.7 crore through open market block deals. Lightspeed sold 4.67 crore shares at a weighted average price of ₹117.72 apiece. ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund emerged as the biggest buyer, purchasing 2.2 crore shares valued at ₹259 crore, while Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley Asia, and Societe Generale picked up additional shares. Lightspeed initially backed PhysicsWallah during its $210 million Series B round in September 2024 and maintained a 1.79% holding during its public market listing.
