Maharashtra’s Food and Drug Administration has named senior officials from Reliance Group entities, alongside Eternal-owned Blinkit and Hyperpure, in an investigation concerning expired food items. Blinkit Chief Executive Officer Albinder Dhindsa was among those named in official case documents reviewed by Reuters, following allegations that expired products re-entered the active food supply chain. Concurrently, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has proposed banning sucrose and fructose in food products for infants up to six months old to combat childhood obesity risks, signalling intensified regulatory scrutiny across India's broader consumer food ecosystem.
