Travel tech platform MakeMyTrip has acquired a majority stake in Bengaluru-based shared mobility startup Quick Ride to enter the daily commute ride-pooling market. The financial terms were not disclosed. Following an internal restructuring, Quick Ride’s ride-pooling operations and brand now sit under Co Ride Mobility Private Limited, where MakeMyTrip acquired its majority ownership. Founded in 2015 by KNM Rao, Quick Ride connects car and bike poolers and provides corporate commute solutions. Quick Ride’s founders will continue managing the business, while its former electric taxi division remains with predecessor entity iDisha Info Labs.
