Nasdaq-listed online travel agency MakeMyTrip posted a net profit of $1.8 million for Q2 FY27, recovering from a net loss of $5.7 million a year earlier. Gross bookings rose 20.9% year-on-year in constant currency to $2.72 billion, while revenue grew 2.5% to $235.2 million, dampened by a 10% depreciation of the Indian rupee against the US dollar. Growth was primarily driven by standalone domestic hotel bookings, which surged over 20%, along with steady demand for bus ticketing and pilgrimage travel. However, elevated airfares and subdued long-haul international travel continued to pressure flight booking revenues.
