Meesho and Seller Face FIR in Gurugram Over Minor’s Death

Gurugram Police have registered a First Information Report against ecommerce platform Meesho and Surat-based merchant Evergreen Agro and Gardening Mall following the death of a 17-year-old boy. The FIR was lodged at Badshahpur police station on August 19 under Sections 106 and 286 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, following a court directive and a complaint by the victim's mother, Anuradha Mehra. Police investigations revealed the deceased ordered toxic Sulfas via Meesho on April 11 before consuming it on April 28. Authorities are examining compliance lapses regarding the online sale and delivery of restricted poisonous substances.
