Ministry of Rural Development Partners With Meesho to Onboard Rural Women Sellers

E-commerce marketplace Meesho signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Rural Development to promote digital commerce and financial inclusion for rural women entrepreneurs across India. The agreement was executed by Meesho co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Sanjeev Barnwal in New Delhi in the presence of Union Minister Giriraj Singh. Under this partnership, women registered under State Rural Livelihood Missions and the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana will receive onboarding support, training, and direct access to Meesho's online marketplace to sell their handcrafted products, textiles, and local goods directly to nationwide consumers.
