Mphasis Sees AI Commoditisation Ahead as AI-Led Deals Reach 70% Pipeline

Ravi Vasantraj, Global Delivery Head at IT services firm Mphasis, stated that foundational AI models will quickly commoditise, making domain-specific application far more valuable than owning IP. Speaking with Analytics India Magazine, Vasantraj noted that AI now acts as an assistant across all software development stages with human validation. AI-driven work accounted for 63% of the $461 million in new total contract value won by Mphasis during the June quarter. CEO Nitin Rakesh added that AI-led deals have expanded from 12% to roughly 70% of the firm's overall deal pipeline.
