NCLT Halts BYJU'S Asset Sale Worth ₹16 Crore Amid Ownership Dispute

The National Company Law Tribunal’s Bengaluru bench has directed the resolution professional of BYJU’S parent entity, Think and Learn Pvt Ltd, and bidder Comprint Tech Solutions to maintain status quo on recently auctioned assets. The order follows claims by the resolution professional of group entity BYJU’S K3 Education that assets worth approximately ₹150 crore were auctioned off for merely ₹16 crore without resolving ownership disputes. The tribunal noted that neither side conclusively established ownership of the hardware and device content, mandating the preservation of all disputed assets until clear documentary evidence is submitted by the parties.
