Nearly 48% of individuals in the Indian startup ecosystem experience low wellbeing, with employees being the hardest hit, according to the 'State of Mind: The Startup Ecosystem' report initiated by Merak Ventures' Sheetal Bahl. The study surveyed 823 active respondents, finding that 54.3% of employees scored at or below the wellbeing threshold, compared to 42.9% of founders and 45.2% of investors. Lack of psychological safety was highlighted as a primary driver, with 34.8% of respondents admitting they feel unsafe discussing workplace struggles openly with colleagues or management.
