Nitro Commerce Launches AI App Builder for Shopify Merchants

E-commerce enablement startup Nitro Commerce unveiled Nitro Apps, an artificial intelligence platform that allows Shopify merchants to build custom store applications using natural language prompts. Unveiled by co-founder and CEO Umair Mohammad at Inc42's D2C and Retail Summit 2026, the tool brings prompt-based "vibe coding" to e-commerce. Merchants can describe required workflows, such as custom loyalty programs, GST reconciliation, or gamified discount mechanisms, and the platform automatically generates and installs the application into their Shopify backend. Merchants retain complete ownership of the underlying code without needing dedicated internal software development resources.
