Bengaluru-based chemical process innovation startup NuSynth Technologies has raised ₹36.5 crore (around $4 million) in a seed funding round co-led by Avaana Capital and Shastra VC. NuSynth develops an AI-driven platform that redesigns chemical synthesis pathways to optimize yield, cost, safety, and sustainability. The startup focuses initially on pharmaceuticals and specialty electronics chemicals. Founded by former Solara Active Pharma Sciences CEO Poorvank Purohit and NIH postdoctoral researcher Dr Ramesha A R, NuSynth will deploy the fresh funds to enhance R&D capabilities, expand its technical team, and build a portfolio of proprietary chemical processes.
