Ola Electric Board Clears Fresh ₹1,500 Crore Fundraise Plan

The board of Bhavish Aggarwal-led EV maker Ola Electric has approved a fresh fundraise of up to ₹1,500 crore, subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals. The capital may be raised through equity shares, convertible securities, QIP, rights issue, or global depository receipts. The move comes shortly after the listed company raised ₹780.24 crore via a QIP in June, which helped fund debt repayment and organic growth. As of May 2026, Ola Electric had outstanding borrowings of ₹1,637.61 crore. The capital will support investments in EV expansion, battery cell manufacturing, and energy storage systems.
