Ola Electric Opens First Dealerships, Targets 500 Outlets Across India

Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ola Electric has launched its first dealer-operated stores across seven Indian states, including Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. This marks a strategic shift from its direct-to-consumer, company-owned retail model adopted five years ago. Led by Bhavish Aggarwal, the company plans to establish over 500 dealer-led outlets over the next two quarters to expand into regional markets without bearing heavy capital expenditure. Under this franchise model, dealer partners will manage local sales and service operations, while existing company-owned stores will transition into product experience centres to showcase EV offerings and build brand awareness.
