Gurugram-based grocery delivery startup Satvacart has ceased operations after a 12-year run, having failed to secure necessary scale capital or complete an acquisition. Founded in 2014 by Deepika Saxena and Rahul Saxena, the platform offered scheduled grocery delivery and later piloted ten-minute quick commerce deliveries using local dark stores. Cofounder Rahul Saxena confirmed that while the startup received small tranches of funding, extensive talks for large investments and strategic acquisitions collapsed because its profitability-oriented model lacked scale. The company disbanded its operational team on August 28 after exhausting strategic alternatives to sustain its business.
