OpenAI has acquired Orchestra Bio, a platform that builds AI agents to help biopharmaceutical companies manage and coordinate drug development programmes. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Founded in 2022 by Ashoka Rajendra, Orchestra Bio had raised approximately $20 million by 2025. OpenAI will merge Orchestra Bio’s team and technology with Rosalind, its suite of AI models tailored for life sciences. The integration aims to automate workflow tracking, connect experimental findings with clinical decisions, and significantly shorten the traditional 10-to-15-year drug development cycle through specialized autonomous AI agents.
