OpenAI has signed four comprehensive agreements with Abu Dhabi entities to integrate frontier AI models across government, energy, investment, and education sectors. The partnership followed a high-profile meeting between OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Under the deal, state-owned oil giant ADNOC will deploy OpenAI's GPT models via local UAE inference infrastructure. Additionally, Abu Dhabi launched an AI-native Machine-Readable Government initiative to automate regulatory compliance and permit assessments, deploying its initial pilot system at the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority to screen food imports.
