OpenAI has launched GPT-6.1 Terra, a multimodal model integrating visual reasoning, computer use, and coding capabilities at 50% lower API prices compared to previous versions. Available starting October 27 across ChatGPT Work, Codex, and OpenAI's API, the model costs $1 per million input tokens and $5 per million output tokens. Built to handle desktop workflows, technical drawings, and video processing, Terra matches GPT-6 Astra’s performance at approximately one-tenth the cost per token.
