PhonePe Founder and CEO Sameer Nigam stated that the fintech giant plans to revive its initial public offering once global market volatility subsides. Speaking at TechSparks in Bengaluru, Nigam noted that the company had secured board approvals and completed roadshows before pausing listing preparations in March 2026 due to geopolitical headwinds. PhonePe is also preparing to expand internationally by launching a full-stack payments business in the UAE. Nigam emphasized the critical need for strict governance in financial services, advocating that fintech firms must operate with bank-grade compliance while continuing to innovate rapidly.
