PhonePe Logs 11 Bn August UPI Transactions; Google Pay Nears 8 Bn

Walmart-backed PhonePe processed 11.19 billion UPI transactions in August, capturing a 45.64% volume share and 47.82% value share with ₹14.26 lakh crore processed, according to NPCI data. Google Pay retained second place with 7.91 billion transactions worth ₹10.07 lakh crore, holding a 32.26% volume share. Paytm followed in third with 1.97 billion transactions worth ₹2.05 lakh crore. Sachin Bansal-led Navi logged 1.08 billion transactions to hold fourth place, while Flipkart-backed super.money recorded 421.87 million transactions during the month.
