Bengaluru-based physical AI vision startup Nova Spectral AI has raised ₹21.15 crore ($2.25 million) in a seed round led by Shastra VC, with participation from Equirus InnovateX Fund and angel investors. Founded by Anish Priyadarshi and Sanjeev Kumar, the startup develops lead-free colloidal quantum dot short-wave infrared image sensor chips integrated on standard silicon CMOS. The technology targets defence ISR, drones, robotics, and autonomous vehicles by capturing images through low light, haze, and smoke. The funds will help build a team and deliver a field-ready prototype within 18 months.
