PhysicsWallah Sells ₹95.79 Crore Loan Portfolio to Auxilo Finserve

Edtech firm PhysicsWallah has moved to scale back direct student lending operations by agreeing to sell a ₹95.79 crore loan portfolio from its subsidiary, FinZ Finance, to education-focused NBFC Auxilo Finserve. The transaction covers a major portion of FinZ’s loan book, resulting in a partial winding down of its direct lending business within 60 days. PhysicsWallah stated the strategic shift aims to optimize capital allocation and minimize balance-sheet credit risk. Moving forward, the Noida-based edtech company will facilitate student loans exclusively through third-party regulated NBFCs rather than holding debt on its balance sheet.
