Bengaluru-based spacetech startup Pixxel’s founder and CEO Awais Ahmed clarified that the company remains Indian-headquartered, owned, and controlled following online criticism regarding its new US subsidiary, Pixxel Federal. Ahmed stated that Pixxel’s primary Indian entity, incorporated in 2018, is not a subsidiary of any foreign company and directly oversees all Indian government and defence contracts. Pixxel Federal will exclusively pursue US government contracts across defence and intelligence agencies without authority over Indian operations. Ahmed confirmed that Indian investors and founders retain the largest collective shareholding block in the spacetech company.
