Karnataka's Minister for IT and BT Priyank Kharge held a roundtable with electric vehicle industry leaders ahead of Bengaluru Tech Summit 2026 to shape the state's electric mobility roadmap. Representatives from startups including Exponent Energy, Ultraviolette, Simple Energy, Sun Mobility, Moonrider, and Multiplex EV attended the session. The discussions centered on establishing advanced testing facilities, boosting industry-led research and development, developing specialized engineering skilling programs, and expanding battery manufacturing infrastructure. Kharge noted that state government policies and incubation support must directly align with the technical and regulatory requirements of companies across the EV value chain.
