Bengaluru-based photonic quantum startup Quanfluence has raised $10 million in a funding round led by Chiratae Ventures, with participation from Rainmatter by Zerodha and existing investor Pi Ventures. Founded in 2021 by Sujoy Chakravarty, Ravi Mehta, Biman Chattopadhyay, Anil Prabhakar, Aditi Vaidya, and Sandeep Goyal, the company builds room-temperature photonic quantum computing systems for optimisation problems. The fresh funds will support the launch of a four-qubit quantum computer prototype, targeting a 100-qubit machine by 2029. Its optical Ising machine combines optics and FPGAs to accelerate decision-making workloads.
