Hosur-based semiconductor startup Raana Semiconductors is in advanced talks to secure ₹100 Cr ($10.4 Mn) in a Series A funding round expected to close by October, founder and CEO Rajasekar Elavarasan said. An unnamed Indian VC firm is likely to lead the round with ₹50-₹60 Cr alongside participation from seven to eight other investors. Raana plans to use the funds to scale its Czochralski crystal-growth equipment from 6 inches to 12 inches, refine silicon-growth processes, and develop domestic vendor ecosystems. The company previously raised $3 Mn in seed funding.
