Fintech unicorn Razorpay has secured its final Payment Service Provider licence from the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) to operate out of Gujarat’s GIFT City. Following in-principle approval granted in April 2026, the licence allows Razorpay to facilitate cross-border transactions, global collections, multi-currency accounts, and outward remittances under a unified regulatory framework. Razorpay has already integrated banking operations with ICICI Bank and RBL Bank to support overseas investments by Indian residents, which reached $2.65 billion in FY26. The infrastructure aims to reduce investment platform onboarding timelines from months to just two weeks.
