Former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has invested an undisclosed amount in Metasports Interactive, the Bengaluru-based gaming startup behind the mobile cricket strategy game Hitwicket. Tendulkar will feature in the game's experiences, content, and brand activations, following cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle's investment in 2024. Founded by Kashyap Reddy and Keerti Singh, Hitwicket has raised over $23 million cumulatively, including a $20 million round from London-based Metica in April. The startup reports a global user base of 20 million players across 120 countries, offering strategy-driven multiplayer cricket gaming for smartphones and tablets.
