Sarvam AI Signs 5-Year Defence AI Pact with Indian Military

Sarvam AI has signed a five-year memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Defence to build and deploy artificial intelligence applications across the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. Facilitated by Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff, the partnership covers joint and integrated military organisations. Sarvam's defence division, Chanakya, will deploy its AI stack and Sarvam 105B foundation model for operational decision support, training, target acquisition, and sensor-to-shooter data fusion, while retaining human oversight for all critical operational decisions.
