The Securities and Exchange Board of India has extended the compliance timeline for angel funds to implement the new accredited investor mandate until March 31, 2027. The seven-month extension applies to angel funds registered with SEBI on or before September 10, 2025, which were previously required to comply by September 8, 2026. Under the revised guidelines, eligible funds can offer investment opportunities to a maximum of 200 non-accredited investors until the new deadline. SEBI accredited investor norms require individuals to possess an annual income exceeding ₹2 crore and net worth over ₹7.5 crore.
