Shuddh Swad launches regional Indian packaged snack brand

Adra-based startup Shuddh Swad is building a packaged regional snacks business focused on authentic traditional household recipes. Founded in 2025 by Jayanta Karmakar and Kailash Bouri, the company began with thekua, a traditional Bihari sweet delicacy deeply associated with Chhath Puja. The founders launched the venture to bridge the gap between low-quality roadside snacks and high-priced seasonal alternatives. Shuddh Swad aims to produce authentic, clean, and accessible regional packaged food products year-round without relying on artificial ingredient substitutions or compromising on traditional culinary preparations.
