Simple Energy Eyes Major Fundraise to Scale EV Production

Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler maker Simple Energy is preparing to raise a large funding round to ramp up manufacturing capacity and resolve ongoing supply chain constraints. Founder and CEO Suhas Rajkumar announced the fundraising plans alongside the rollout of the company's new family electric scooter, The Simple Wave, priced at ₹1,09,999. Simple Energy currently produces 1,500 to 2,000 units monthly despite facing consumer demand of 4,000 vehicles. The startup aims to scale production to 12,000 scooters by March, supporting its long-term ambition to become a top-five Indian EV brand within 18 months.
